Recognizing that God has appointed us as stewards of leadership can help challenge our trajectory of us being first, or looking from the top-down. We don't own anything, (especially our transitory work positions) even our ability to lead is God-entrusted. Our intellect, our influence, our ability to manage fiscal resources well are all gifts under the umbrella of leadership that will enable us to perform the work God has for us to do.

We can see, of course we can, that's why we are able to lead so well. That's why we must refuse the suggestions and opinions of others. That's why we must battle to be right - at all times. We prove our leadership, sometimes, by navigating the stormy vicissitudes of life, that leave others groping and stumbling around in darkness.
